Fall 2024 ARCC Downtime Completed

In December 2024, The Advanced Research Computing Center (ARCC) installed four new 8-GPU (H100) nodes on the GPU cluster (Newton). These were funded by Provost Johnson based on the A.I. Initiative (https://ai.ucf.edu/) with indispensable support of Dr. Muburak Shah. To access these Newton nodes, researchers must specify a special queue, “highgpu”, in their job submission scripts (similar to how jobs requesting high-memory nodes in Stokes reference the “highmem” queue). To request access, simply e-mail in a ticket to arcc-request@ucf.edu.
