GitHub Enterprise Now Available to Researchers at UCF
The Office of Research Cyberinfrastructure is excited to announce the launch of GitHub Enterprise for Research, a no-cost service for UCF researchers. This service is now available to all researchers working on university-approved projects that are classified as using unrestricted data in the UCF data classification matrix. GitHub Enterprise for Research offers version control and collaborative development tools, ensuring that research teams can manage their code efficiently and securely. Key features include:
- Unlimited Private Repositories: Collaborate on software projects without any limitations.
- Single Sign-On (SSO) Integration: Seamlessly connect UCF collaborators through secure, centralized access.
- External Collaborator Support: Easily include researchers from other institutions, with built-in security via two-factor authentication.
- Personalized Training and Support: Research IT offers tailored support and training sessions for all users.
- Repository Protection: GitHub Enterprise for Research is configured to prevent accidental or unauthorized deletion/transfer of repositories outside of the organization, ensuring your repositories remain under your control.
