Biography

David holds bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Physics, and he is currently a graduate student in UCF's Physics Ph.D. program. His area of expertise is in computational astrophysics where he utilizes large-scale simulations and Bayesian methods to better understand the early universe. His background includes Linux system administration, DevOps, scientific software development, containerization of services and analysis pipelines, and container orchestration. David is proficient in a handful of programming languages such as Python, Java, C/C++, the Wolfram Language, and general shell scripting (Bash, ZSH, etc.). He also has experience designing and building HPC systems for researchers, including large-scale storage using advanced file systems like ZFS and BTRFS.
