Ph.D. Students needed for Networking and Wireless Systems Lab (NWSL)

The Networking and Wireless Systems Lab (NWSL) (http://nwsl.ece.ucf.edu) at the University of Central Florida (UCF) is looking for motivated and exceptionally qualified full-time Ph.D. students. The selected candidates will perform cutting-edge research in computer communications and networking as part of externally funded projects. The start date is expected to be Fall 2024. An ideal candidate will have the enthusiasm and passion for performing quality graduate work as well as patience to tackle academically challenging problems. The candidates must have or be expecting a B.S. or an M.S. degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or other related disciplines. Applicants with an M.S. degree will be given preference. Further, the following criteria are desired and will be used for candidate selection:

  • Strong background in mathematics and analytical thinking
  • Strong software integration skills
  • Strong hardware skills
  • Strong embedded systems skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to work in an inter-disciplinary team
  • Ability to pursue independent research
  • Background in communication networks
