Overleaf Premium License

Overleaf premium licenses are available for faculty, graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and select staff members. UCF's subscription is sponsored by the College of Sciences, College of Engineering and Computer Science, College of Graduate Students, and Office of Research.

Notable features of the premium license include:

  • Invite collaborators to make real-time changes to your project.
  • Increased compilation time as well as access to the fastest compilation servers.
  • Complete document version history, compared to 24 hours of history for free Overleaf accounts.
  • Integration with reference managers Mendeley and Zotero.
  • Synchronization with a Git repository, either locally or on Github.
  • Synchronization with Dropbox.

Read more about these new features, including instructions for use, on Overleaf's How-To Page.

How do I get access?

Navigate to https://www.overleaf.com/edu/ucf, and click 'Log in with SSO'.

You will be prompted to sign in with your UCF identity.

If you were not already logged in to a personal Overleaf account, you will be prompted to choose one of two options.

  1. Log in and link
    • Select this option if you wish to link an already existing Overleaf account to your UCF identity. This will preserve any projects you have saved, only adding the premium license features to your personal account.
  2. Create new account
    • Select this option if you do not already have an existing Overleaf account you wish to link to your UCF identity.

After completing this step you will now have an account linked to your UCF identity and can begin using the premium features of Overleaf.
